PRAM CAMP
Beginner sailors seeking adventure!
2023 Registration is Now Open!
1-Week Sessions: Starting June 12, 2023
We will not be offering Learn to Sail classes the week of July 3-7 (only race camps on the 5th, 6th, and 7th.)
Schedule: 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday
Program Cost: $420 per student
Who should take this course?
Beginner/Intermediate sailors, ages 7-10 who have completed 1st-4th grade.
What will my child learn?
Our highly trained staff uses the US Sailing instructional system in an open learning environment. Classes begin with land-based discussions and demonstrations followed by on-the-water instruction where skills like upwind sailing, downwind sailing, reaching and docking are covered. Additional activities like swimming at the dunes & water related games are interspersed throughout the day to keep the action going and provide a fun group experience.
As the class progresses, instructors may even begin some introduction to racing if kids show interest. We recommend 2 or more sessions for those who really want to improve their sailing skills. Signing up for multiple sessions is a great way to get your sailor to more advanced levels and grow their confidence. Graduates should consider Opti Advanced or Opti LTR for more learning, challenges, and fun!
What do we need to bring?
Students must bring their own lunches and snacks as well as a lifejacket, water bottle, change of clothes, closed-toe water shoes, sun protection, and towel.
